Most of these athletes are still figuring out how good they are, and they're usually their own toughest critic. A photo can't change that overnight, but it can be evidence, something tangible they can hold onto when self-doubt creeps in, a reminder that yes, this is real, this is them. That's the goal behind every shoot, not just a great picture for the wall, but something that quietly says you are talented, you belong here, keep going.
